1. Campus and Infrastructure: 133 Acres of Greenery

Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology has on its campus, men's and women's hostels, 100-bed general hospital, ladies amenities center, staff quarters, guest house, cafeteria, outdoor sports facility spread over 12.1 ha (30 acres) and an indoor games complex. Apart from the Engineering College, there's a M.B.A department, Sir M V School of Architecture (B.E) and a Dental Collegeas well, where all students and working staff can get the treatment done with concessions of 50%. The institute power requirements are met by a dedicated HT power connection from BESCOM and captive power generating units. The institute is connected to all the parts of the city by its own fleet of buses. All the students admitted to the institute are covered by insurance for life and medical care.

Unlike many urban colleges confined to small blocks, Sir MVIT boasts a massive 133-acre lush green campus near Yelahanka. It offers a serene environment away from the city's hustle, which is perfect for focused learning.

    Library is furnished with advanced equipment’s, including latest generation computers with modern user experience with modern amenities secured with CCTV surveillance and fire alarm systems, ensuring user safety.

    It is partially automated with the LIBSOFT Library Management System with Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). An Institutional Repository (IR) DSpace has been initiated for managing and archiving faculty publications for preserving and disseminating scholarly output, along with institutional holdings.

    The library holds a rich hybrid collection of print and non-print materials of 67,920 plus print volumes, catering to various disciplines such as engineering, technology, sciences, and humanities with e-resources access to e-books, e-journals, multimedia content, national and international databases to ensure the availability of the latest scholarly content mapped IP based through VTU Consortium.  The library provides various services to meet users’ needs on physical mode and through remotely (24/7) which enables seamless access to content on anytime and anywhere. The library is a member of E-ShodhSindhu, IRINS through INFLIBNET and National Digital Library of India (NDLI) from IIT Kharagpur, established by Government of India. The Library and Information Centre @ SirMVIT is a state-of-the-art knowledge hub, thoughtfully designed to meet the academic and research needs of students, research scholars and faculty fraternity, located in a spacious independent building spanning 8300 square meters across three floors. It offers a pleasing and user-friendly environment with a seating capacity of 400 plus users at a time. It is designed as a Green Library with eco-friendly infrastructure including natural lighting, energy-efficient systems, and a commitment to sustainability. The library operates between 9-00 AM to 4.20 PM on all working days.4

Sir MVIT is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and is approved by the AICTE. It holds a prestigious NAAC 'A' Grade accreditation.

The training and placement cell of the college is very effectively engaged in developing the students in all needed skills and placing in top companies. Students are also apprised on a continuous basis through seminar and workshops etc. about higher learning opportunities in India and abroad. Right from the fourth semester onwards, regular training is conducted on total personality development and personal grooming of the students. Minimum 35 to 40 top companies visit to the college every year between 90% to 100% students are placed. The placement covers all branches equally including non IT branches Mechanical, Civil, IEM, Biotechnology etc and a good number of non IT companies also visit to college on a continuous basis along with IT companies. The training and placement of the college is headed by an MBA(HR) qualified training placement Director with 28 years of experience on HR/HRD related activities tasks
